As football fans all over the globe gear up for the most anticipated mega-event, the FIFA World Cup 2022, an all-around permit for fans attending the match called the Hayya Card has been announced.
Here is all we know about the Hayya card so far, its uses and how to apply for one.
Please note: The Qatari authorities have announced the suspension of entry for visitors into the country from 1 November until 23 December 2022. Only Hayya Card holders, participants of the Hayya with Me policy, Qatari citizens, residents and GCC citizens holding a Qatari ID card, holders of personal visas, work entry permits, and approved humanitarian cases will be allowed entry during this period.
What is Hayya Card?
The Hayya Card is a digital card that serves as an all-around permit for attendees of the FIFAWorld Cup Qatar 2022. After purchasing FIFA
World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets, fans should apply for a Hayya Card, which will be mandatory to attend matches. It provides a number of benefits, including free public transport for ticket holders on match days.
Thus, fans looking to secure their World Cup travel packages are required to apply and obtain the Hayya Card.
UAE 90 Days Entry visas For Hayya Card
The UAE has also confirmed its new multiple-entry visa for Hayya Card holders. The Hayya Card-associated visa will allow international football fans multiple entries to the UAE over a 90 –day period.
According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the fee for the visa has been set to AED 100 and can be extended for an additional 90 days.
The new visa will grant entry to the UAE starting from 1 November 2022.
How will the Hayya Card be used?
For the duration of the World Cup, the Hayya Card will serve as an entry visa for anyone intending to enter Qatar. In other words, entry to Qatar will not be possible for anyone without a Hayya Card. Entering stadiums will also not be possible for anyone except Hayya Card holders.
To summarize, the Haya Card will provide holders with the following:
• entry to a stadium (with a valid match ticket)
• entry to Qatar (for international fans)
• access to public transport on match days
• smart journey planning (via the Hayya app)
The invited person may be of any age provided they have their own passport with the application fee set to AED 504 per person.
Children under the age of 12 will not be charged and everyone under the age of 18 may be added as a dependent to an existing Hayya Card.
How will the Hayya Card be used?
The Hayya Card will serve the following benefits to the cardholders:
• For international fans, the Hayya Card will give entry permits to the State of Qatar. A visa will not be required for cardholders.
• The Hayya Card, along with a match ticket, will allow access to the stadium on the match day.
• Cardholders will receive free access to ticket, Qatar’s public transport systems, such as shuttle bus, Doha Metro, and LusailTram, on match days.
• It will allow fans entry to several activities accompanying the competition.
• The Hayya mobile app will also help with smart trip planning.
Hayya Card Requirements
The following are the requirements to apply for a Hayya Card:
• Match ticket application number (orvoucher code)
• Scanned copy of the passport’s photopage (not required for Qatar residents)
• Accommodation details, including address
• A high-quality passport-size photo

Step 3: Create your Hayya account
Step 4: Enter your OTP to verify the email You will receive a one-time password (OTP)
Step 5: Login using your account details
Step 6: Select the applicant category
Step 7: Upload your personal photo
Step 8: Enter your details and upload your passport if required
Hayya Card Approval Time
The Hayya Card approval time for applicants from outside Qatar is five days, while the approval time for applicants inside Qatar is three days.
Hayya Card Validity
The Hayya Card would be considered an entry visa to Qatar from 1 November to 23 December2022. Hayya Card holders will also be allowed to remain in Qatar until 23 January 2023 and can freely travel in and out of Qatar as they like.
Hayya Card Price
The Hayya Card is issued free of cost to match ticket holders. You do not have to pay for the Hayya Card.
